What is EON PEKK? 

Like PEEK, EON PEKK belongs to the PAEK (PolyArylEtherKetone) family, which comprises various high-performance polymers. It is therefore a high-performance thermoplastic that has high chemical and thermal resistance and flame-retardant properties as its main characteristics. 

An engineering material for demanding applications 

Due to the high-performance properties mentioned above, EON PEKK is commonly applied in highly demanding industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive, aeronautics, oil and gas. 

This superplastic is often used in these industries, as it has a high chemical resistance, resisting virtually all organic and inorganic fluids. 

It is also very attractive in the electronics industry, due to its high dielectric constant. That is, its resistance capacity is very high, making it difficult to transform the material into an electrical conductor, and therefore it is a good insulating material. 

On the other hand, EON PEKK is also among the most popular polymers in the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas industries, largely due to its high resistance to pressure and high temperatures (its glass transition temperature is 165°C). Similarly, EON PEKK is a material with high specific strength, making it an ideal solution for certain applications in the aeronautics industry, where weight reduction is key to optimizing performance (density, 1.29 g/cm3).
