Smart Talks - Óscar Teixeira
At the latest edition of EMAF, the International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment and Services for Industry, which took place from 1 to 4 December 2021 at the Exponor exhibition centre, we had the opportunity to talk to Óscar Teixeira, Manufacturing Engineer, Additive Manufacturing at Reiman. He introduced us to RMN Additive, one of Reiman's specialised services dedicated to Additive Manufacturing, better known as 3D Printing.
Tell us about RMN Additive
RMN Additive encompasses a range of Additive Manufacturing processes, better known as 3D Printing. It develops three-dimensional solutions, layer after layer, with a focus on rapid prototyping, small batch production, parts with mechanical strength and light weight, and customisation.
What Additive Manufacturing solutions does RMN Additive offer?
RMN Additive has two Additive Manufacturing technologies: FDM and SLA. FDM technology consists of the process of producing parts through an extrusion process where the object is built by depositing material layer by layer. SLA technology, on the other hand, consists of a process that uses a laser to cure a resin, solidifying it layer by layer.
What are the advantages of Additive Manufacturing or 3D Printing?
It's a service with many competitive advantages. Both in terms of price and in terms of reduced lead times, because we have a very high production capacity.
