5 Machine Accessory Trends – 2021
Just like 2020, 2021 is revealing itself to be an extremely challenging and demanding year when it comes to developing solutions that guarantee the hygienization and safety of spaces. High levels of cleanliness, resistance to corrosion, prevention against contaminating elements, and efficiency in functionality are features increasingly in demand in sectors such as food, pharmaceutical, medical, and chemical.
To meet the stringent product safety requirements at all stages of a process - from preparation to the final product - there are some very effective solutions on the market. Thus, Reiman has gathered some of the best accessories for 2021 machines.
Visually Detectable Line | Elesa+Ganter
This line includes standard components with AISI 303 and 304 stainless steel inserts, made of technopolymer "signal blue", RAL 5005, material suitable for food contact (FDA CFR.21 and EU 10/2011), easily detectable and recognizable to the human eye, thanks to the specificity and uniqueness of color, which normally does not exist in environments where these components are applied.
Metal Detectable Line | Elesa+Ganter
As for the Metal Detectable line, it includes standard components with stainless steel inserts AISI 303 and 304, made of technopolymer "green-blue", RAL 5001, material suitable for food contact (FDA CFR.21 and EU 10/2011).
In this line, there is a special additive contained in the plastic material, which allows the detection of 5 mm cubic particles by means of a metal detector.
The features of these two lines contribute to increased safety levels in food production processes and are fully compliant with international regulations. Compliance with FDA regulations for the production of materials also makes for a high level of prevention against the risks of food contamination.
The two lines include: VTT-SST solid knobs, ERZ-SST adjustable handles with stainless steel clamping element, M.643-SST bridge handles, EKK-SS knurled grip knobs, I.780 cylindrical handles and CFM hinges.
Main applications:
- Machines for the food industry and food processing;
- Machines for the preparation and packaging of medicines;

Hygienic Design | Dirak
Dirak has created the Hygienic Design line that comprises several accessories with sophisticated geometric shapes made of stainless steel, which prevent any accumulation of bacteria. In order to ensure the highest levels of safety, the products are designed with smooth rounded edges, thus avoiding any potential handling risk. In addition, they are adaptable to any environment due to their high resistance to corrosion and temperature. These products have specific characteristics tested according to DGUV standards and NV 13090 certification.
Clean Line | Elesa+Ganter
The Clean accessories are made in technopolymer in Ral 9002 (white color) which facilitates the identification of dirt. In addition, the angles and recesses of the products of the line are all smoothed and, in some cases, even eliminated so that there are no difficult to clean areas. Handles and clamping knobs are the main products of the Clean line.

SAN Line | Elesa
Microbes have great resistance to antibiotic products and drugs, which can often result in infections that are difficult to control. In order to minimize this problem, Elesa has decided to extend its "SAN- Antimicrobial" range. The whole line SAN is made in a special technopolymer with additives of silver ions on an inorganic basis that manages to prevent the development of microorganisms and thus prevent the spread of microbes and bacteria.
The silver ions have antimicrobial characteristics that neither wear out or get lost with successive washes and disinfections, guaranteeing the success of the line in the following way:
- They break the wall of the microbial cell
- Interrupt intracellular enzymes
- They attack the microbe's DNA to stop cell replication
Knobs, handles, and nuts are some of the products that make up the SAN line and all are available in RAL 7021 (grey-black) or RAL 9016 (white) technopolymer. The line has been developed for the most demanding sectors and where there is a greater tendency to bacterial spread, such as medical and hospital equipment, rehabilitation aids, pharmaceutical machines, and urban and public equipment.
