ESC-SFT Handles with Built-in Safety Switch

Elesa+Ganter's new ESC-SFT handles with a built-in safety switch are designed to provide superior protection for operators and guarantee safe machine operation.

In combination with a control logic, the handle activates the interruption of the machine's power supply circuit in the event of accidental opening of doors, enclosures or protective covers, ensuring immediate safety.

The handle contains reed contacts activated by coded magnets, while the control unit converts this information and communicates the protection status to the control system via a safety output.

Main advantages:
- Operator protection: A magnetic sensor and a green LED confirm safe closing, protecting operators from risks.
- Compliant with stringent standards: Classified as a type 4 device (EN 14119), it supports architectures up to SIL3 (IEC 62061) and PLe (EN ISO 13849-1).
- Snap Lock: The mechanical system keeps the doors closed, requiring around 2kg of force to open.
- Self-centring: Compensates for misalignment, making it ideal for sliding or hinged doors.
- With advanced technology and functional design, Elesa+Ganter's ESC-SFT handles raise industrial safety standards.
Elesa+Ganter's ESC-SFT handles represent a breakthrough in industrial safety.
