S101A Radar Sensor - Inxpect System

SKU:
90202011
Manufacturer:
INXPECT

The S101A sensor is a smart FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) device that prevents accidents through the use of the safest technology in the world: radar.

The sensor sends 24 GHz radio waves and recovers motion information, analyzing the returned signals reflected by both static and moving objects in the operative range. The sensor perform the following primary functions:

  • Motion and scenario analysis.
  • Communication via CAN bus to the controller of the motion detection signal.
  • Fault reporting and communication of diagnostic information via CAN bus to the controller.

Main features:

  • Inclinable sensor body
  • System status led
  • Perforated bracket for installing

VISUAL SAFETY BARRIER

The S101A sensore created an invisible barrier that detects when an operator crosses it and enters a dangerous area, putting the amchine into a safe condition to protect the operator.

WORK IN THE PRESENCE OF OPTICAL DISTURBANCES

Extremely resistant to environmental disturbances. This makes it possible to work without false alarms in environments where there is smoke, dust, water and machining swarf.

SIL2/PLD CERTIFICATION & UL LISTED

Inxpect's LBK sensors are the first and only radar sensors in the world that have obtained SIL2 certification for use in industrial safety applications.

3D SCANNING

Radar functions natively in 3D and can therefore protect dangerous areas volumetrically. Operatior cannot elude detection by radar no matter how hard they try.

HIGH-SENSITIVITY DETECTION

When a sensor detects an operator entering a dangerous area, it starts to function in high-sensitivity mode, which also detects operator micro-movements from breathing and prevents accidental machine restart.
